The boutique’s name is inspired by Southern women, who are both chic and sweet. sugar will feature oh-so-chic designers, such as Ivy Jane, Lilly Pulitzer, Citizens of Humanity, Michael Michael Stars, and the latest rage - Tummy Tuck Jeans! There will be a little something for everyone and we all deserve to treat ourselves every now and then!

About the Owner

sugar’s owner, Sandi Hall McClain is a fashionista with a flair for business, and has dreamed of owning a retail boutique since she was a little girl. Born in Greenwood & raised in Abbeville, she began conceptualizing her dream shortly after college and finally made it a reality in April 2008. One of her favorite quotes is by Coco Chanel: "In order for one to be irreplaceable, one must always be different". 

McClain’s unique, and very different vision is to provide a gorgeous inviting setting for customers, just as if they were walking into a welcoming Southern home. Combine that with beautiful clothing, sweet service & treats, and you’ve got sugar, "the fashion you crave". 

McClain is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and was recently honored as Who’s Who Among Professionals, Executives, and Entrepeneurs.
